The Thirst Project.
What is the thirst project? The thirst project is a project where people fundraise for people all around that don't have access to clean water, and we are able to change that. It all started in Summer of the year 2007. The thirst project was really born out of twenty something's using what we had to tell the story of the people with out safe water. The problem is almost 1 million on our planet don't have access to clean and safe water. 4,100 children are dying from this problem. This is a very HUGE problem. Every year 2.2 million are dying from lack of clean and safe water. But wait, there is a solution! The solution is water. It might cost as much to build and maintain fresh water, as you think. To build a well of fresh water is costs between $7,800 dollars in Uganda to $20,000 dollars in Kenya. The way I am able to help is by stop waisting water. Also to donate money to the thirst project that way they are able to build the well for the people that are dying from contaminated water, and they are now able to drink clean and fresh water by building this well for them. The way I help raise my dollar was by spreading the world. I had told my friend about the problem that was going on about the people that are dying from contaminated water. So my friend was able to help by donating a dollar to the thirst project.
The way I felt when I felt about the lack of contaminated water that people are dying from is bad. I felt bad because many poor kids and adults are suffering and dying because of water. Just they way I am able to drink clean and fresh water , I want these people to be able to do the same because I think everybody deserves to drink fresh water. No, I have never experienced due to the lack of no clean water. But yes, people were curious to know where the money was going to go. The money was going to go to the thirst project that way the are able to help them build these fresh water well's. I told the people around me about the thirst project and the situation that was going on. We would want to help change people's lives and help them be helping them by building them the fresh water well.
I felt very proud and good asking people for help. I felt good and proud because I knew I was doing something good for many people, and I knew I was going to save people lives by helping fundraise. I knew helping raise this dollar was going to be worth it because I knew I was going to change many peoples lives and help them live better than to walk many miles to get kind of contaminated water. Help save these people from dying of contaminated water. Water is the solution. Were the solution. YOU are the solution. Help by donating to the thirst project. Help save people's lives.
